We're humbled with the vote, but we all know it's preseason. We're going to embrace it and accept the challenge. ![]() I said this last year at MAC Media Day: we were picked whatever and I said, 'Hey, it is what it is and we've earned every bit of it.' Going into this year, we're not going to shy away from the expectations. On the MAC Head Coaches Poll and being the hunted versus the hunter ![]() Everybody's not at ease, but we're just more comfortable with where we're at. I got that question from Russ, but it's a true statement. So, it's hard to compare the two, but I know that we have a lot more answers going into this fall camp than we did last year. I saw everyone this morning and they looked really fast and very excited to be out there. It's tough because again we returned so many guys. If you ask me that again in a few weeks, maybe I can give you a little bit more in depth answer. It's really hard to separate the two, so this is just day one. You know, their own journey, if you will. So it should be a good running back room for this season. There's a wealth of experience, guys that have gotten bigger, faster, stronger. I really like what I'm seeing in that room at this time. So, this year again, depth at any position is going be vital, depending on what happens with injuries. If you recall, obviously Sieh- and he got banged up- and we had Jake Neatherton in there, Tyler Toledo and Julien Ross. He kept battling.Ĭontinuing with the depth we are deep and we played a lot of running backs last year. What happened is tough he went through a lot and I'm really proud of him. ![]() Obviously, he's coming off a tough injury last year that happened early-I want to say in the first few days, if I remember correctly- but he worked so hard to get back. Sieh and the year he had-Freshman All-America, 1000-yard rusher, it was really tremendous. I'm super excited about the depth in that room. On redshirt sophomore Sieh Bangura, graduate student O'Shaan Allison and the running back room After day one, I'm excited about their leadership and the direction of this, this new journey for this season. We have a tremendous amount of wealth of experience on both sides of the football. There are 21 graduates on the football team. I'm looking forward to helping finish building this team and I'm really, really excited about the seniors. I get to work with the guys and coach a little bit with summer there's recruiting and official visits so you're away from the guys.
